Aave App is a high yield savings app designed to grow your savings by up to <baserate></baserate> per year with balance protection up to $1M per account and optional recovery features. What is Aave App?

Interest is earned by depositing funds on Aave, the largest peer-to-peer money market, with over $60 billion in deposits. Unlike traditional savings accounts, interest is compounded every second to maximize the growth of your savings. Aave money markets are over-secured — borrowers are required to deposit more than they borrow, meaning your savings are backed by more value than is borrowed.

How is interest earned?

The Aave App Savings Rates consist of a Base Rate (currently up to <baserate></baserate> per year) and any additional Rate Boosts you can earn on top, which can add up to a total of <maxrate></maxrate> per year. Like all high yield savings accounts, Aave App’s interest rate is subject to change. This is due to changing market conditions. While Aave App aims to keep its Base Rate fixed for large periods of time, changing market conditions may increase or decrease that rate over time. The Base Rate will never be negative.

How are my funds secured on Aave App?

We're developing an insurance-backed protection program for customer assets supplied to the Aave App as an additional layer of protection. The policy is designed to cover defined loss events, such as security breaches and technology failures. The program is not yet active. Full details, including limits and eligibility, will be shared upon launch.

What does balance protection mean?

While both Aave App and traditional high yield savings accounts (HYSAs) allow you to deposit funds and earn interest, differences in the operations create distinct experiences. One additional benefit of savings apps like the Aave App is that the earning rates tend to be higher and often move inversely to the rates offered by HYSAs. Historically when rates at HYSAs go down, rates on Aave go up, and vice versa. Other key differences in our features are listed in the table below.<table></table>

How does Aave App compare to traditional savings accounts?

Aave App is not a bank and is not a regulated financial institution. The Aave App gives you a way to manage and act with your funds on your own. Aave Labs never holds your funds; you stay in control at all times. When you connect your bank account, those services are provided through regulated partners based on your region.

There are no minimums to get started saving with Aave App. Unlike most banks and savings accounts, you can start using Aave App with as little as $0.01.

There are no recurring subscription fees nor AUM fees. Furthermore, there are no deposit or withdrawal fees for deposits from and withdrawals to/from banks. There may be minimal stablecoin withdrawal fees if withdrawing to an external wallet depending on the chosen stablecoin denomination and market conditions. Finally, Aave Labs keeps the small difference between the savings rates and the underlying rates earned.

What are the fees?

Like any financial application, there are risks associated with using Aave App. To foster peace of mind, all accounts are protected against losses for up to $1M and only use Aave as the source of yield, with over $60 billion in deposits. Potential risks include but are not limited to lending risk, infrastructure risk and market risk.

If you’re unable to login to your Aave account, there’s a straightforward way to get you back in. Aave App offers an optional biometric verification recovery option after you keep a minimum balance for at least 1 month. Once you have implemented the recovery feature, if you ever forget your password, simply hit the Forgot Password button and complete your biometric face scan.
