Aave V3 is now live on Aptos. This marks Aave's first deployment on a non-EVM chain after 5+ years of operating exclusively on Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks.
Bringing Aave V3 to Aptos was no small feat. Since Aptos is not an EVM-compatible chain, it required a complete rewrite of the Aave codebase in the Move programming language, rebuilding of the Aave Labs Interface as well as retrofitting Aave Protocol and its business logic into the Aptos VM.
Collaboration with Chainlink was pivotal for the Aptos testnet deployment. Together with the Aptos Foundation, we worked with the Chainlink team on production-ready price feeds for Aave V3 on Aptos.The process involved security researchers from the get-go, which allowed the team to nurture the security-first approach which is as always centric in the development of Aave.
The deployment has been thoroughly vetted through multiple audits, a mainnet CTF competition by Cantina, and has an active $500,000 GHO bug bounty.
Market Details
The initial list of assets for the Aptos market includes APT, sUSDe, USDT, and USDC. Supply and borrow caps will be slowly increased to accommodate demand. This integration was deployed by Aave Labs on behalf of Aave DAO, with risk analysis completed by Chaos Labs and Llama Risk. Chainlink will provide secure and reliable price feeds.
As the market matures, new assets can be added and users can expect higher supply and borrow caps. These changes can be tracked in the governance proposal.

Petra offers multiple setup options including private key creation, social login through Google and Apple, and hardware wallet integration with Ledger devices. Once you have Petra set up, you can bridge assets to Aptos through one of the cross-chain bridges.
