Amazing summer in Australia

Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef
Kyle returned as the happiest person in the world. He enjoyed every aspect of his trip: itinerary, leader, group, country. An absolute winner. Kyle said, Australia was absolutely amazing, Tyson was a very fun leader and the group was awesome. The activities we participated in were incredible and well organized. -Joanie Harrison

My overall experience with AAVE this summer was beyond incredible. The campsites were all great, the activities were amazing and the itinerary was awesome. The most successful aspect of my trip was that the group was really well chosen and made up of teens who got along and who pushed themselves to succeed. A Successful Summer Adventure in China!

It was 100% successful. This was Scott’s 3rd trip with AAVE and it met all our expectations (as have the other trips he has been on). We send him on AAVE trips because they “feed his soul” in a way that school does not seem able to do. AAVE builds his feelings of confidence and competence. He learns about other cultures and has a great time. He learns to live with other young people (an experience that will serve him well in university) and spends 3 weeks with terrific role models (your leaders). Alice was wonderful. -Karen Fuller
My summer was so successful, it could not have been any better. I feel like I have matured and I have gained a new appreciation for other cultures throughout my trips. I have learned so much about other people, the places I visited, and about myself. A total success, I would do it again in a heartbeat! -Scott Fuller

Spain Teen Adventure Camp

As a parent, I appreciated the guidance and direction AAVE provided every step up the way. This was our first experience sending a student abroad. AAVE eased the “worry” with my daughter’s personal webpage which let us know what to do and when to do it. It was great to be able to download forms and keep track of the progress online. Additionally, I was grateful for the organization, leadership and care provided by the trip leaders once my daughter arrived in Spain. It was a magical 3-week experience! -Christine & Chris Murray

Boot Saddle Paddle Summer Camp

Taylor had the best time. The group of kids were great. She loved the mix of US kids and international students. The leaders were amazing. Taylor could not stop talking about them! I like the way you all combined outdoor activities with meaningful components such as the nightly meetings and questions. Taylor challenged herself, stepped outside her comfort zone and had the best time. She feels excellent about herself. What a great way to enter high school! -Jodi Miller

Costa Rica Spanish Adventure

Reid had a great experience on his Costa Rican Spanish Immersion trip. He came home with more conversational Spanish confidence that you can only get in this type of atmosphere. He also had a great time meeting new friends and has gained confidence from his traveling alone experience. We would definitely consider an AAVE trip again!! -Cheryl Tulley

Summer time skiing
This is our family’s second experience (Ultimate Hawaii ‘07 & Wild Coast Discovery ‘08) with two different kids. Just as before, we were impressed by the caliber of the counselors and the overall success of the trip. For our son, the trip more than met expectations. We appreciate that most kids come alone, as it puts everyone on a level playground. We also appreciate the amount of responsibilities given to the camper, as it allows them to take ownership of the results. As far as the activities go, they were all awesome. Overall, I’d say the experience was not only memorable, but life-changing. We thank you for another wonderful year! -Anne & Bob Von Pentz
Boot Saddle Paddle Adventure

Our daughter had the time of her life! We are enjoying hearing all about the gorgeous scenery, her wonderful new friends and all the fun they had together. Although not a shy girl, she had never been away from home before, so we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. The great leaders and an equally great group of kids made the experience truly “exceed all of her expectations”. For me, her mom, this was potentially a very nerve racking experience sending her off “by herself”, but I really appreciated all of the very clear, organized communications from AAVE. All of your communications definitely put me at ease. I will certainly recommend your excellent company to my friends. Sincerely, Amy Franks

Alaska Teen Adventure Program

Backcountry campsite in The Chugach
Once again, everything on my trip was successful! I had not doubts, after having an amazing time in Costa Rica the summer before. Alaska was absolutely amazing… the trip itself was incredible. The backpacking trips were so fun, hard and intense at times, but overall really fun and challenging. Glacier climbing was one of the coolest things I have ever done, and I love being able to brag about that one! haha… The leaders were awesome. In fact we have already had some partial reunions! Writing this now is making me miss everyone and just being in Alaska sooo much! Thanks again AAVE for contributing to one of the best summers of my life! -Erin Walker

The three weeks I spent in Thailand were amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better group and group leaders. The itinerary was planned out extremely well and still had some flexibility depending on how we were feeling. It’s great that we got to see so much of Thailand in just 3 weeks, and the variety of activities we did allowed us to fully experience the Thai culture. I loved the whole trip!
