The Best Summer of My Life!!

The whole trip was a huge success, thank you so much!! I saw some of the most amazing sights that I have ever seen, pushed myself to try new things, found that I can physically exert myself far more than I thought possible and met the most amazing people from all over the world with whom I now have an incredible bond that comes from discovering and accomplishing really wonderful things together. Arriving at Havasu Falls after the intense hike and sitting under the waterfall with everyone, looking out through the sheets of water and spray, was one of the best moments I have ever experienced. I was crying all the 20 hours home. Thank you so much AAVE for the best summer of my life. The experience has really changed me and I will never ever forget it. -Claudia Grigg-Edo

Taylor had the best time. The group of kids were great. She loved the mix of US kids and international students. The leaders were amazing. Taylor could not stop talking about them! I like the way you all combined outdoor activities with meaningful components such as the nightly meetings and questions. Taylor challenged herself, stepped outside her comfort zone and had the best time. She feels excellent about herself. What a great way to enter high school! -Jodi Miller

Boot Saddle Paddle Adventure

Our daughter had the time of her life! We are enjoying hearing all about the gorgeous scenery, her wonderful new friends and all the fun they had together. Although not a shy girl, she had never been away from home before, so we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. The great leaders and an equally great group of kids made the experience truly “exceed all of her expectations”. For me, her mom, this was potentially a very nerve racking experience sending her off “by herself”, but I really appreciated all of the very clear, organized communications from AAVE. All of your communications definitely put me at ease. I will certainly recommend your excellent company to my friends. Sincerely, Amy Franks

The summer camp was even more adventurous for us than for Dana. We followed and enjoyed from afar Dana’s unique experience. Some cares and doubts each parent has in the beginning, as a result of the distance and the unknown, quickly vanished. That could be possible thanks to devoted leaders like Jared and Jenny ( gold medal) and a very good orchestration above all, Mr. Abbott !! -Mirella Usher

My summer was great!! I loved all the places that we went and I loved all of the people on the trip. I also liked being able to plan our own meals with food that we liked. I loved sleeping outside every night and my favorite part was swimming in Havasu!! -Meghan Burns

Horseback riding in the Black Canyon of Colorado

Spending three weeks on an AAVE trip was incredible. I was amazed at how well my group got along and how much we got to really love each other! Also, before the trip I was a little uncertain about how much I actually liked camping and now I can’t get enough of the outdoors! Coming home to live, eat and sleep inside was a big shock and I much prefer sleeping under the stars. I’m so glad that I got to see a part of my country that I had never explored. I never knew that the West was so absolutely breathtaking! I’m glad that BSP brought us to so many different terrains. I was able to truly get a feel for the desert with it’s red and orange sand-like dirt and it’s green sage brush and cacti as well as aspen forests and beautiful mountains. I am so utterly glad that I chose this trip to go on and can’t possibly imagine having a better time anywhere else this summer! Thank you! -Isabelle Franks

Greta came out of her summer with AAVE another person — so self-confident and independent, with an appreciation of nature and all the extreme beauty it can offer that she herself never dreamed of having! She so cherished the strength and security she found in herself, and that would not have been possible without the great guidance and wonderful people she shared her experience with. Thank you so much, AAVE!!! -Mary Etro

The trip was a blast! I made a lot of new friends and saw awesome places. The Havasu backpack was one of my favorite things that we did. The food was good on the trip too. Mesa Verde and the Navajo Reservation were really interesting. The rafting and horseback riding were really fun, so was the last backpack in Ashley National Forest and Arches. -Halley Lamberson
