Leadership Experience: From leading trips for AAVE, to teaching children with severe Autism, leading yoga classes, and most recently managing a day spa I have held a variety of leadership positions. All have been amazing learning experiences! What I love most about leading for AAVE is the excitement of the unknown; absolutely no day is the same!
What AAVE means to me?: One of the happiest moments of my year, aside from seeing all those glowing faces in the airport, is receiving the trip assignment. It gives me butterflies in my stomach and puts a huge smile on my face! This company is absolutely amazing and it means the world to me that I have been able to lead four successful trips for them. Everyone who works for AAVE has an adventurous, open and warm heart. The office staff is knowledgeable and supportive. I really have had the best experience with AAVE! !

Favorite Quote: "Every new beginning comes from another beginnings end" - lyrics from the song Closing Time
The Perfect Day: Waking up just before sunrise to a clear, warm brilliant dawn and doing yoga on the beach. Eating my favorite breakfast of granola, tropical fruit and yogurt then taking a few hours to explore a new place, hike and read. Surfing at sunset with my amazing friends and closing the day with a beach bonfire, eating barbequed fish, dancing, singing and listening to music into the night. Finally, snuggling up under the stars.
Dream Job: Combining my passions for exploring, new adventures, yoga and healing others by leading yoga/wilderness retreats in all the most beautiful places in the world! That would absolutely be a dream come true!
Dream Vacation: Right now I really would love to discover Indonesia ... and while I'm over there why not New Zealand, then back to Thailand and India.
What I do when I'm not at AAVE: I manage a day spa several days a week and work as a Massage Therapist at a local country club. In my free time I am exploring California, hiking through the redwoods, spending lots of time with friends and family. Oh and I am an education and volunteer junky so I am always enrolled in classes and helping the community. I have found a lot of wisdom volunteering as a Massage Therapist with low income cancer patients.
